Enabling persons with disabilities by providing them with a good opportunity for education like their colleagues without disabilities by giving them opportunities and equal rights, in addition to making the environment around them an accessible and prepared environment by integrating, including and activating the role of students with disabilities within the university community as an essential component of their quality of life, and this is done through the implementation of several interventions that contribute to the advancement of the education component for them, as follows:
Interferences.
Ramps, wall rests at external entrances, corridors, stairs, bathrooms, blindness walkers, raising the efficiency and availability of toilets for students with disabilities, signage in Braille, and other accessibility elements.
- The main campus of Ain Shams University is of internal roads, slides and availability in four faculties (arts, law, science, computers and information): It was made possible to serve students with motor disabilities who are currently enrolled and also new to the coming years to ensure their integration into education and their rights to accessibility, as 8 toilets were rehabilitated, with “2 toilets” in each fully equipped men’s and women’s college, ramps and hand rails. The university also participated in the implementation of full access to entrances, exits and internal roads on campus.
- Providing the facilities of the main campus at Zagazig University, focusing on the faculties of: Sciences for people with disabilities, pharmacy, arts, and education.
- Availability of the main campus facilities at Menoufia University, focusing on the faculties: law, commerce, and arts.
