Supporting Independent Mobility and Inclusion for Public University Students
University students with physical disabilities face significant challenges due to reliance on traditional wheelchairs, which limit mobility within university campuses and lecture halls, reduce academic attendance, and increase dependence on family members or personal assistants.
Moreover, prolonged use of unsuitable wheelchairs leads to long-term health complications, including spinal and respiratory issues, highlighting the need for safer and more efficient mobility solutions that support independent living.
Through the project “Supporting Independent Mobility and Inclusion for Public University Students”, Ataa Fund works to empower students with physical disabilities by providing high-quality, lightweight wheelchairs, designed according to precise health standards, enabling freedom of movement and reducing reliance on personal assistance.
