Residential care home for blind women
Operating the first residential home for blind women (over 60 years old) in Nasr City to receive women nationwide and provide them with health, social and psychological care.
The house consists of 3 apartments, each apartment contains 6 rooms, and each room is inhabited by two women with a capacity of 36 women, in addition to a supervision room, a living room, toilets, a fully equipped kitchen and restaurant.
The financing consists of operating expenses for all cadres based on serving women, in addition to food, medicines, trips and recreational activities, water and gas consumption, maintenance expenses, and other operating expenses.
Distinguished services provided by the house:
- Providing full board for women who are unable and internal supervision to care for them 24 hours a day.
- Providing customized programs in psychosocial support within the house.
- Providing complete health care.
- Providing many cultural, recreational and social activities such as holding parties and trips for blind elderly women for moral support and creating a family atmosphere and family warmth.
The house was opened to receive blind elderly women from various governorates in July 2021, where the house currently houses more than 25 blind elderly women.
